Oh soooo Sumilon

A little south of Whale Shark watching site is the gateway to this private island, Sumilon, owned and maintained by Bluewater Sumilon. I must admit, this island is quite expensive! I wanted to stay atleast for night but after checking out their room rates, I decided to skip it for now, good thing they have a Day Tour package where you can stay and enjoy the island the whole day!

Meet the Gentle Giants : Oslob

Twas 1:00 am when we left Manila to visit the Queen City of the South for the 2nd time (1st for Jay) hoping to discover more of Cebu's finest. I visited Bantayan and Malapascua early this year and I was blown out by their unique and stunning beauties. I decided to visit the southern part of the province to taste more of Cebu and it was all worth it.

Oslob is known for Whale Sharks visibility, I've read a lot of articles talking about how bad it is for the "gentle giants" to interact with humans and to be honest, it was not part of my original plan until a friend of mine said that it's okay as long as you follow the rules - confirmed by a marine biologist, so I decided to say hi to our friendly giants.

Sea, Sun and Sand : Malapascua Island, Cebu Chronicles Part 2

From Cebu's busy city - a paradise especially for divers can be found, that is Malapascua Island. The island situated at the northernmost of Cebu has so much to show and tell. It is a small island that is only about 2.5 by 1 kilometer or 1.55 by 0.6 mi, it is indeed small but terrible in such a very beautiful way.

Malapascua is known for its wide white sand beach tagged as "Little Boracay", which is a fair judgement - for me, it may not have a powdery white sand as Boracay has but it has much lesser crowd and super clear water. If I am to choose between Boracay and Malapascua, crowd and serenity wise - I'll go for the 2nd. Also known as a great dive destination for regular seeings of thresher sharks and manta rays as well coral gardens and Japanese shipwreck.

Beach Bumming : Bantayan Island, Cebu Chronicles Part 1

Queen City of the South, Cebu is blessed with so much overwhelming and stunning bodies of water. From beach bumming, corals viewing, thresher and whale sharks encounter to so beautiful natural falls. There's really no reason not to love Cebu and I'm just so thankful for having the privilege to experience Cebu myself.

Cebu City, as the capital of Cebu province, being the oldest city in the Philippines' archipelago has sure a lot of historical treasures to share to everyone, one of the reasons why tourism in the province is very visible not only for Filipinos but mostly, for foreign nationals. Cebu City is slowly becoming just like Manila - horns and traffic lights are everywhere, a busy city indeed. Cebu islands are the most visited places in the province and I was able to visit 2 of them, Bantayan and Malapascua. This article is purely about Bantayan island.
